Photographer: Jaakko Kahilaniemi | Katri Kauppi joined the IPSERA Executive Committee in April 2026 and is currently the Networks representative. She has been an active participant to IPSERA conferences since IPSERA 2008 in Perth. Katri is associate professor (tenured) in Logistics and Supply chain Management at Aalto University School of Business in Finland. Katri has previously worked at the Manchester Business School and at Nottingham University Business School in the UK. Katri teaches sustainable supply chain management, supply chain risk management and other sourcing and SCM related topics at Aalto, both at BSc and MSc level as well as into various executive education modules. She was elected “teacher of the year” of the Business school in 2024. Through Kataja, the Finnish Doctoral Program in Business Studies, Katri organizes bi-annually a doctoral course on Theories and research in international purchasing and supply management. Katri is an associate editor of both Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management as well as International Journal of Operations and Production Management and has also guest edited special issues in Public Management Review and Journal of Public Procurement. Katri’s research has several focus areas, including i) organizational purchasing behavior and behavioral experiments, ii) organizational theory application and extension in the context of PSM, with a specific focus on agency, attribution and institutional theories, iii) public procurement, and iv) sustainability, with a recent focus on water and biodiversity sustainability. |
